Day 1 Review- Football: Defending Champions Education kickstart the Student Union Sport Festival with a win.
The Faculty of Education started the defense of their title with a convincing 4-1 win over Law, while the Faculty of Arts and Bamsa played out an entertaining 3-3 draw in arguably the most captivating game of the day.
Elsewhere, Chidioke penalty was enough as
Management Science lost 1-0 to Life Science and in the final game of the day, Pharmacy were 3-1 losers to Social Science.
The 2nd leg of these games will be played on
Wednesday 11th of March, 2015 while 4 more games will be played tomorrow

Day 1 Review-Basketball: Education, Physical Science, Engineering and Management Science through to the Semi Final.
The Faculty of Education dunk off the basketball games at the ongoing Student Union Sport Festival after defeating Social Science 21-12 points.
In other games, Physical Science defeated Arts
27-10, Engineering thrashed CIS 29-4 while
Management Science were *21-9* better than the Faculty of Law.
In the semifinal clashes, Education play Management Science while Physical Science and Engineering slug it out in arguably the game of the day.
The basketball semi-final starts on the 10th of March, 2015 by 12pm at the University’s
Gymnasium.
Day 1 Review- Table Tennis Event: Clinical Science dethrone Education to claim gold.
Clinical Science won the first gold medal of the
2014/2015 Student Union Sport Festival as Amuda Kannike Sulyman won gold medal for the Faculty
after defeating Atilola Matthew Oluseun of Social Science in the final of the competition.
Meanwhile 3rd position was shared by Oguntuase Temitope Victor of Bamsa and Yinka Oyelami of Life Science.
The Faculty of Education won the men's single table tennis event last year as Igho Hope defeated all comers but with this achievement, Clinical Science are currently top of the medals table with a Gold
medal.
