STRESS Conversion Process to SUCCESS

The joy and excitement of being admitted into
the number one university in Nigeria is so
immense and elaborate that we get carried
away with the anxiety to start that new phase
of life as an undergraduate.
And just before the eye twinkles and the mouth
will be able to whisper jack robinson, we just
find ourselves getting more than we bargained
for. Is it the stress of standing under the sun in
a queue for hours just to get transportation or
having to engage in "need for speed" in order to
get a comfortable seat at LT 1 that is the true
definition of "better by stress" ?. Even though,
this syndrome culminates the fun aspect of
schooling in the typical Nigeria environment,
yet, it would be rather unfair to claim that this
hasn't led to unnecessary stress that is
absolutely uncalled for!
Experience has taught me that the "better by
stress" experience is enviable in the lives of
every student of the better by Far institution.
Yes,the Better by Stress experience! Even if you
own a private ride,live in the hostel or even
occupy a political position, you must have a
taste of the better by Street Experience in order
to excel here in UNILORIN.
Periodic examination has from time
immemorial being a determinant of academic
excellence. Here in Unilorin, it takes the grace
of God and Wisdom to convert the "stress" to
academic excellence.
It's stale news that not everyone that spends
the whole night in the class is actually
studying, it's also not uncommon to hear of
people who slept off or had a misrepresentation
of their CBT schedule,neither is it surprising to
hear of students caught for exam malpractice.
The victims of these circumstances, were at a
time our friends and lovers,they never
envisaged such situation,but they either were
not wise enough or luck just ran against them.
You should not any time compromise your
studentship for any "cheap" shortcut to
success. Endure the stress and pains of having
to study for long hours for only 14 days and
keep smiling and walking in confidence for the
next four of five years with a very Fat and
robust CPGA. You may not even have to read
for long hours if you have done all the study
earlier!
It should be noted that we all are ambassadors
of our families,hence we should thread the
route of being vibrant and youthful
undergraduate with ease and utmost care.
