SU week has been nice so far. It started yesterday at the school auditorium and many gifts were given out to students. Flash drives, phones, press play branded shirts and a student won a palm top. The second day was not boring either as the SU excos were looking funny in their back to school dresses.
Tomorrow's event is one you must not miss walahi. Here is a platform where the voice of students (particularly females will be heard), an opportunity for us to meet with Women who have made indelible marks in their career and home front as they discuss salient issues relating to both male and female folks. Be a part of Day 3 of the SUG Week (18th of March, 2015) 10am prompt at the Agric lecture theater.
What Makes Day 3 of the Student Union Week Special!!
On Wednesday March18th, 2015, the 3rdDay of our most
Anticipated SUG Week is Colour Riot day +Free Expression
Day.
The purport of the program is to enlighten, educate, and
inform undergraduates of tertiary institutions (particularly
females) within Kwara State on how to maintain a top class
career in any endeavor and aworthy life. It also aim at
encouraging students never to feel reluctant at aspiring for
excellence. The program whose theme is :“Nurturing Women
of Excellence" is designed to provide an interactive
atmosphere between students and women of “repute and
merit” such as Sen Gbemisola Saraki, Barr Bola Suleiman, Princess Adebimpe AKINBISEHIN, MRS Abdul Karim, Mide Funmi Martins, Kemi Afolabi, Dr Mrs
Daramola and other women of repute.
A Magazine on the same topic (The Arete) would be launched
on the day of the program which is scheduled for March 18th, 2015. The magazine will be a compendium of intellectually
stimulating articles written by students of tertiary institutions
in Kwara State on contemporary issues and Female
empowerment and edited by Prominent and respected
academics. The Magazine will be composed of inspiring and
stimulating interviews and stories of the Honorees.
