Victories in 2014

2014 began as usual with a thousand voices roaring 'halleluyah' in churches and others throwing 'knockouts' on the streets (a Nigerian way of celebrating the end of a year and the beginning of a new one). It's a joyful thing to be in 2015 but we must not forget in a hurry victories won in 2014 on campus. Oh yes we lost some battles but we lost some to win some.
We commenced and successfully finished our first semester exams in February 2014 however we had no time to celebrate Valentine's day because exams were going on. Immediately in the next month of March, Rain semester began. Different faculties and departments organized succesful excursions to different locations in the country and abroad. In that same semester, several dinner and Ankara events held on campus and it was fun. Talking about fun, I remember when my friends and I pretended to be Ondo students to be served at the NAOSS's Ondo day celebration, hihihihi!!!. Did I travel for easter? I've forgotten. By the time the first semester results came out (except final year students), we knew how to prepare for the second semester exams. Before the exams, one can not forget the experience during campaigns and elections on campus. Many won and others lost but it was all worth it, right?
Researching, studying, reading and cramming was all I saw during that second semester exams period. Some groups organized their dinner after the exams right? I wasn't around.
Before then, JAMB exams held and our Fresher's experience that time cannot be swept under the rug. 'e no easy to get 180 now oh'. Some of them faced JAMB before writing WAEC and NECO in "is it June/July?
Yes I love the 4 months long break but I heard our executives at the Students Union had only 2 weeks break, 'pele'.  But the fear during that break was when the results came out. Who can you complain to? You can only explain to your parents why 'they gave you' E talkless of "carry ginni?".

I didn't follow the unilorin post-Jamb at all, how was it? Admission list came out and I knew time for "back to school" was near. Many of us won again...how?

We crossed, we didn't face Tanke.
'Face Tanke as in Face Tanke' not take a drop to Tanke.
I miss my friends who convocated last year. I remember the school fees payment wahala choi. 2 hours on the portal gen geen. Well, congrats one more time to the newly matriculated freshers and I just hope you attended the numerous orientation programs organized on campus. Thumbs up to all the SU executives especially Osas for that bonfiring bonfire, (you missed if you weren't there). Xmas is gone but New year is my right to celebrate so catch me if you can......
